Another Intriguing Iris

Perhaps the definition of  juxtapose is demonstrated by the composition of this photo. Thought the tree trunk provided an interesting contrast.

Another Flower Garden Escape

Apparently when I divided my iris a few years ago, I tossed enough rhizomes into a field near my lawn to start a new bed. So glad they spread as I’m not up to dividing them this year and the plants don’t bloom so well when the roots are crowded.

It’s Iris Time

My Mom called them “flags”. What an appropriate title for a flower that blooms near Memorial Day. A bit warm and muggy here in the Mid-west today- but beautiful.
